Free Draw Winner

Congratulations to Linda Ford of the Cornwall Fire Department in Cornwall, Ontario for winning our draw for a free conference registration as a result of completing our 2009 survey.

The Power is Yours

We are really looking forward to the 10th Annual FDM Education Conference.

2008's theme was based on the development of Win6 that would enable you to customize your FDM solution to meet your specific needs. With the release of Win6, this year's conference theme is "The Power is Yours" because now, the power really is yours.

We have a great turn-out for this year's conference and are looking forward to welcoming everyone next month.

If you haven't already, please register for your preferred breakout sessions online.

Travel and Accomodation

Sutton Place Hotel

Have you booked your accommodation yet? The Sutton Place Hotel, one of Travel and Leisure’s Top 500 list, is located in the heart of downtown Vancouver. For your convenience, the hotel offers free Wi-Fi. Special room rates apply by using FDM's online group booking code: VC101009FDM.

Transportation from Vancouver International Airport

TransLink’s newest rapid transit line called the Canada Line conveniently links the Vancouver International Airport (YVR) directly with downtown Vancouver at Granville and Georgia. Upon arrival, follow the signs for Canada Line.

To get downtown, you should choose a 2-zone fare. Depending on what time you arrive, the fare will be between $7.50 and $8.75. The YVR Canada Line ticket vendor machine accepts debit and credit cards.

Alternatively, taxis are readily available and cost around $40.
