FDM CAD Response Logic

FDM Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) offers agencies a powerful and flexible response model, ready to be configured to meet your response requirements.

Response logic plays a key role in FDM CAD and refers to the process FDM CAD uses to recommend units. FDM CAD response logic is capable of taking several factors into account including the type of emergency, where it is occurring, units available to respond and the department's state of readiness.

FDM CAD provides dispatchers with unit recommendations, the combination of equipment and capability needed to effectively respond to the emergency. Dispatchers can accept the recommendation or manually modify it by adding or subtracting units. Response Logic can be configured to include variations required for disaster situations or for differences in emergency service zones (ESZs).
