Chateau Belair High Availability in CAD, Providing a Redundant Solution
The City of Prince George, BC has implemented as close to a truly redundant CAD system as possible. This session will discuss how this was accomplished including network, hardware, software redundancy, as well as some of the procedures put in place to handle failure. A disaster can cover anything from a catastrophic loss of the entire building to a software application lock-up. The City attempted to cover as many of these scenarios as possible. Over the last year, the redundancy availability on a failure has improved from minutes to seconds. You will learn how the City changed from an active-passive cluster server to a mirrored database methodology and how it handled the possibility of staff evacuation.

See how simple it is to update non-spatial records with coordinates and process them into map layers. With mapped data, the session will review existing and new functionality in FDM’s Response Wizard. The session will also demonstrate how spatial analysis can assist in backing your opinions when justifying funding changes that affect the number of trucks in service, staffing levels, the number of stations in service or the need to re-locate.
Salon Cezanne Customizing Inspection Workflow in Win6
The Charlotte Fire Department, NC will demonstrate how they have incorporated department business rules into Win6 to create a customized Inspection Kiosk for their inspectors. The session will discuss the workflow development, how the department implemented the solution to inspectors and lessons learned during the process. Charlotte has been using the new Inspections workflows since July 2010. Join this session and see how the “Power can be Yours”.
