Customizable, Integrated and Reliable

FDM Mapping & Analysis

Mapping puts your data to work for you in powerful ways. FDM's Records Management System (RMS) and Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) products are fully integrated with ESRI® GIS Technology. With FDM, you have the option to extend your mapping and analysis capabilities with FDM GIS Analyst, an interactive map display that provides both the analyst and decision-maker with real-time RMS and CAD data for better decision-making.

Mapping allows you to see your data represented spatially, revealing groupings and relationships that are not obvious in a standard data view. Users can combine Emergency resources, zone boundaries and topographic data into one display on the map for an instant snapshot of all the resources in a specific area.

Another key benefit of mapping is that you can import data directly from the map files to populate your database or integrate custom shape files. This eliminates data entry and creates a valid address base within your database at the same time.

FDM CAD uses mapping data to geo-validate addresses, locate incidents, graphically display apparatus, locate properties with dangerous goods and to mark hydrant locations, landmarks and other features.

Mapping in CAD is used mainly to identify response areas but can also be used to map the best route to an incident or to create a case based on X, Y coordinates or longitude/latitude (for example, if an incident occurs at a location without an address). This allows clients to customize routing information to reflect predictable traffic congestion and other impedance factors. This advanced functionality provides CAD users with the capability to quickly determine the best route to a hospital from an incident location.
