Administrative Assistant

We are searching for an Administrative Assistant with accounting experience to join our team. You will be expected to perform a broad range of administration and accounting tasks including but not limited to:

 Administration

  • answering incoming calls and directing them where required
  • maintaining office cleanliness and organization
  • coordinating office incoming and outgoing mail
  • organizing company events
  • coordinating travel arrangements
  • ordering supplies 

Accounting

  • preparing expense reports for senior management and recording staff expenses
  • recording supplier invoices and preparing cheque runs
  • assisting accounting department with basic invoicing
  • maintaining furniture and equipment inventory system
  • assisting accounting department with credit cards, bank deposits and other tasks

Requirements

  • High school diploma plus 2 or more years of professional related experience
  • Proven accounting/bookkeeping experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively, thoroughly and accurately in both oral and written form
  • Excellent command of English language is a must
  • Excellent organizational skills with a demonstrated ability to prioritize work and manage competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills - demonstrates a positive, respectful and service-oriented approach to interactions with others and enjoys working as part of a team
  • Ability to work independently, with a minimum of supervision; willingness to take ownership of a project with a demonstrated ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Accuracy and attention to detail are essential
  • Experience with computerized accounting systems, MS Word, spreadsheets (Excel), and databases required
