Junior Software Tester

  FDM is seeking a dynamic, innovative and client-oriented professional who will help ensure that new software releases are deployed to production with a minimum number of software defects. This is an excellent opportunity for recent grads who want to start their career in testing and grow with us.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and executing test cases
  • Performing test functions, logging defects and preparing defect reports
  • Working with staff for defect correction
  • Reporting, documenting and setting the severity for defects, risks and issues
  • Performing trouble-shooting of application installations
  • Assists in the configuration and maintenance of the testing environment to support various system testing scenarios
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Education: Degree in Computer Science is preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years software quality testing.
  • Solid understanding of Software Lifecycle
  • Knowledge of database structure and queries (SQL)
  • Knowledge of GUI usability testing techniques
  • Familiarity with automation and performance testing
  • Meticulous in work created and carried out
  • Strong oral and written communication and documentation skills
  • Strong ability to organize and work quickly
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to work on concurrent projects
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
